About the Archivist

This is a selection of letters, memories and writings about Twitchells in the United States, descendants of Benjamin Twitchell (1625–1681). It is an archive of knowledge at the time created.

It contains the prepublication version of the Twitchell Genealogy written by Ralph Emerson Twitchell (1859–1925). He noted his manuscript “will be preserved in the files and records of the family of the writer, and additions and corrections for the future will be welcomed.”

We consider the final form of Twitchell history to be recorded on the “Wikipedia” of family history, FamilySearch. Corrections to these pages should be recorded there.
