This website was started as a birthday gift to Kip’s younger brother Lane in November 2021 with this post, as Lane has consistently been proud of his Twitchell heritage. The next post, in honor of the centennial of their father’s birthday, was in November 2025. Kip’s older brother Chad then began contributing.

This site is dedicated to Twitchell Ancestry. It was inspired by the historian efforts of Ralph Emerson Twitchell (1859–1925). His original Twitchell Genealogy book was financed and published in 1929 by Herbert Kenaston Twitchell (1865–1928).

Henry Dale Twitchell Jr. (1921–1995) continued the work, researching updates, preserving the manuscript and making connections to other Twitchell’s in the 1990s. Two of his contacts included Brent Lynn Twitchell (1949–2007) and Robert “Bob” Mack Twitchell (1925–2015). Bob’s sons have picked up the thread since then, beginning on the centennial of Bob’s birth in November 2025.
